The butterfly
Picture of my bags "The butterfly", in Tokyo in 2011 where I participated in a design exhibition called ”Tsunagaru”.
The bags are part of my "Carry-a-comic" project that started in 2004. The idea came up when I was working on a comic strip for a newspaper but had no idea about what story to tell, the creative block was total. The three empty squares in front of me on the paper desperately needed content. I then suddenly got the idea to add content oustide the squares instead - by adding handles to them. I really liked the idea to carry a story; imagine if you one day would meet someone carrying another part of your story!
